Dr Colin Helm, originally hails from the Highlands of Scotland but he and his and his family have made New Zealand their home after moving here 22 years ago. He graduated from Glasgow University, Scotland in 1992 before going on to gain joint General Practice Fellowship Qualifications in both New Zealand and the UK. He has been a GP for the past 18 years and developed an interest in Appearance Medicine 9 years ago.
Colin recently decided to take a career break from General Practice to enable him to concentrate on and further develop his interests in Appearance Medicine an Skin Cancer surgery. He is also actively involved in Pharmaceutical Clinical Research Trial work in the quest for new medicines, particularly in the treatment of diabetes, asthma and osteoarthritis.
Colin is a fully accredited member of the New Zealand Society of Cosmetic Medicine (NZSCM) and holds the Diploma in Cosmetic Medicine and was awarded the “Ralph Saxe Award” for most outstanding student in his final year of training for the Diploma.
Colin also has a strong interest in skin conditions including skin cancer and skin cancer surgery. He is a fully accredited member of the Skin Cancer College of Australasia and has completed further training in skin cancer diagnosis, dermatoscopy and advanced medical and surgical treatment options for skin cancer.
Dr Colin will be available by appointment on set days each month to consult on Cosmetic Botulinum Wrinkle & Dermal Filler treatments...
